The Beretta SL3 is a gun we’ve largely overlooked since its release — and that’s something we wanted to put right.
This film is a proper, end-to-end look at the SL3, starting in the Beretta Gallery London, where we break down the design, build quality, and thinking behind one of Beretta’s most understated high-grade game guns.
From there, we take it out of the showroom and onto the clay ground at Ashcombe Shooting Ground to see how those design choices translate into balance, recoil, and confidence when the gun is actually being shot.
Finally, the SL3 is put where it truly belongs — on a driven shoot at Dyfi Falls Estate in Wales. One proper drive, real birds, and real conditions. Here, we put the gun to the test with some heavier game loads from Hull Cartridge, seeing how it handles recoil, rhythm, and pressure on a day that matters.
Along the way, you’ll also spot the sort of details that make up a proper shoot day — including the cartridge bag, made by Black Antler Designs:

This isn’t a spec-sheet review or a sales pitch. It’s about how a gun feels, how it performs, and whether it earns its place in the line when it counts
