What matters more in clay shooting — the gun or the shooter?
In this challenge at Orvis Sandanona, I pick up a Longthorne, one of the most expensive sporting shotguns money can buy. Facing me is Cody Matson, a professional shooter and coach… armed with nothing more than a humble Beretta AL391 20 gauge.
The rules are simple: amateur with the expensive gun vs pro with the cheap gun. We shoot a selection of sporting targets to see whether raw skill can really beat high-end kit.
