It won’t be long now until we are heading back to the moors, that sadly have been scarred this year by fires getting out of control. It was quite noticeable that these fires were breaking out on moors that were no longer managed by the shooting community.
This is a great tragedy and a great shame when wildlife is destroyed through lack of care and also lack of knowledge of how moorland really works. Here is a compendium of clips that we have put together that shows the moor in perfect harmony with the shooting community.
In return for a well-managed moor, where all wildlife thrives, the shooting folk and moor managers harvest the surplus, where there is surplus to harvest. But also protect healthy breeding stock when there is no surplus available.
