So I had a go with the 17 Hornet and a combination of dodgy reloads (Hornady brass) and difficult to read conditions resulted in me missing all over the place after a successful first shot. I had a spotter, but it is hard to tell what is going on with a 17 cal rifle other than trying to observe bullet trace. 4-8 mph winds that were changing direction weren’t very helpful either.
